Together with our historical background it makes us 'alive with originality'! Job DescriptionWithin this position, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Daily Revenue on Journal Entry is agreed to supporting reports and the POS.
  • Ensure all revenue recorded in the POS is transferred to the PMS system. You will be responsible to check and process accurate revenues for the hotels on a daily basis and when necessary adjust revenues in Operations Audit and to ensure all reports have the necessary back up documents and are processed through DocMatrix in accordance with Hilton policies.
  • Ensuring all revenues are posting to the right General Ledger code and adjust where necessary
  • Daily tax recalculation performed of tax calculations that go through Onq. The correctness of the VAT in ONQ before uploading the data in Navision.
  • The reconciliation of cash payments between ONQ and the cash counted by the general cashier.
  • Credit card accounts are reconciled to general ledger. Check the credit cards, PIN payments. The reconciliation of the credit card payments between ONQ and 3C. Reply to, solve & process credit cards issues, disputes and chargebacks.
  • Action guest email/correspondence (e. g. release credit card authorisations)
  • Making sure that the DocMatrix dashboard is completed and that all the requested reports have been uploaded.
Supportive FunctionsIn addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
  • Be prepared to work anywhere in the Finance Department as and when business circumstances require this (e. g. vacation coverage, month-end, year-end).
  • Participation in internal / external training courses is mandatory.
  • Training/coaching of Trainees in liaison with the Assistant Financial Controller/Assistant Finance Manager.
  • Support during internal and external audits.

  • Ability to effectively deal with guest and team member concerns in a friendly and positive manner and listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information into a computer using various computer software programs (e. g. Microsoft Excel and Word).
